The Earth is Calling Us

The Earth is Calling Us

The earth is calling us to pause. To take deep breaths. To go within. To be still. To be creative. To be kind. To have faith. To trust.⁣

In times of stillness is where our greatest growth occurs.

This can all feel really scary right now. And we are being called to rise above, by pausing to go within. To take an assessment of what’s working and what’s not working, for ourselves individually and collectively. ⁣

I got to do a little chanting and meditation with one of my teachers @janetstoneyoga as she graciously is connecting and sharing her practice with us online. As I was chanting tears began to roll down my face, with gratitude and reverence. Realizing that this current event that is taking place (i.e., #covid19 ) which feels like a strange sci-fi movie is really our highest self, source, calling us into an elevated, conscious way of being.

Sometimes things that feel like tragedy, much later have profound lessons to teach us, they shed light on things that were hidden, they bring us abundance in ways that we never imagined. I believe this because it’s happened to me several times and I always remind myself each time, this too shall pass and you’ve been here before Keegan, it will be alright. ⁣And I say this knowing right now there are a number of challenges people are facing right now, so this is not to minimize what you’re experiencing. ⁣

Ganesha is deemed as the remover of obstacles and is also one who places “obstacles” in your path to invite you to pay attention to what is not working. Right now, I believe we are being called to something greater— to shift our ways of being and doing. And albeit at a very high cost. We’ve gotten so many messages from nature, from science, from our own internal compass, our own intuition screaming at us that something has got to shift. ⁣

We are all facing this together. We are all interconnected and the moment we believe that we are not, we adopt the mentality of us vs. them creating unnecessary divisiveness. There is not one person who will not be affected by this “virus”, by this current global situation. And it’s important now more than ever to remember that we are one Spread kindness. ⁣Breathe. ⁣

Check in on your friends, family, neighbors, grocery store clerks, teachers, and everyone around you. ⁣
Reflect on what’s coming up for you— worry, fear, anxiety, anger, sadness...all of these are normal. Breathe into them. Hold your heart, connect to the ground, and breathe. ⁣

⁣Take this time to do all the things you said you would do if you had the time. Rest. Clean. Organize. ⁣

We are birthing something new and it requires all of us to let go of what no longer serves us individually and collectively. ⁣

If you’re looking or in need of support with meditation, moving through any overwhelming thoughts/emotions, moving your body from home, or just a kind ear to hear you...I’m here for you. We’re in this together.
