The World Looking In, Release and Let Go

The World Looking In, Release and Let Go

The world looked in, "Why do you surround yourself with these heavy bricks and this giant wall?"

I replied, "To cover the pain that resides within."

The world, "You are beautiful, brilliant and brave. There is no need to hide, no need to cover up. For we all suffer, we all experience pain. Suffering is the thread of life. It's what connects us all to each other. It is what we do with this suffering that we make meaning out of this life. In those very deep, painful moments in life is when we find our greatest strength. The pain must exist in order for the beauty to grow within each of us."

And at that moment, the bricks fell one by one, slowly crumbling into dust.

A letting go of the pain held within began.

A release,

An opening,

A sense of peace,

A clearing.

And then the wall disappeared into the night.
